Description
The Carrier HC38VE230 motor is a PSC motor used in many Carrier HVAC equipment. PSC motors are known to be reliable and efficient. In their case, they use a capacitor to generate a rotating magnetic field that starts the motor and keeps it moving. This is a single phase motor that is motorized by a single alternating current power line. In a counterclockwise direction the carrier delivers 1/6 horsepower of power at a rotation speed of 1075 revolutions per minute. This is built for use with 230 volts and is 6.5″ long, 8.0″ wide, and 8.0″ high, so it’s a compact and powerful option for compatible HVAC systems.
