Description
The Carrier HH83XB428 hydraulic-magnetic circuit breaker is a 3-phase 600VAC. It protects electrical circuits in HVAC equipment by either over current or short circuits. The breaker applies this in the following manner through the use of a two-part. An overload is protected by a heat-sensitive element and short circuit is protected by an electromagnet. In an overload condition the heat-sensitive element gets heated and thereby operates or trips to break the flow of current.Though the electrical current temporarily rises due to a short circuit, and develops a magnetic field that resets the electromagnet it also halts the flow of currents. These circuit breakers in different types of HVAC equipment such as air conditioners, heat pumps and furnaces.
