The Carrier HK32AB201 is a Heat Pump Defrost Control Board and is an OEM product used in Carrier heat pumps. It is also used to control the defrost cycle, which clears ice from the outdoor heat exchanger coil in cold climates. During the frost formation on the coil, it triggers a cycle that reverses the flow of refrigerant. This softens it and makes sure that the heat pump is working properly by avoiding coil damage.
