The Carrier KH71KR161 is a 7/8” Outer Diameter accumulator used in multiple HVAC systems. An accumulator is a pressure vessel that stores excess liquid refrigerant and returns it to the system when there is high demand for it. This prevents refrigerant from flooding the compressor, which can lead to damage. or flooding of the compressor. The KH71KR161 is constructed from a bi-metal and the brazed connections make it leakproof in its operation. It improves the stability of the refrigeration system to work efficiently and also protects pumps in the condition of HVAC devices.
