Description
The Cleveland Controls DFS-243 Air Flow Switch is a pressure-sensing safety component used to verify air movement in ducted systems by detecting differential air pressure across a sensing point. It operates through a diaphragm and snap-acting SPDT switch that responds when airflow reaches a fixed set pressure threshold. The unit is designed for surface mounting and connects to pressure pickup points using tubing to monitor airflow conditions. In HVAC systems it is used in duct heaters, air handling units, and combustion or ventilation equipment to confirm adequate airflow before allowing system operation, supporting safe sequencing and controlled equipment activation.
