Description
The Carrier P282-0432A is a 3-Pole Contactor intended for use in Carrier HVAC equipment, including large air conditioning systems, heat pumps or packaged units. A high-capacity relay that manages high current movement in numerous circuits of your system. This particular model has 3-poles, making it possible to control three circuits at one go. It uses a higher coil voltage of 120 VAC than 24 VAC used in some contactor models. This serves systems that need higher voltage to activate coils. When energized the coil opens a switch mechanism, and the circuit allows a high current of up to 40 amperes per circuit to pass through each set of contacts.
