It is made of bronze to resist corrosion and is installed in the pump, which is propelled by the pump motor to generate a pressure difference that helps in maintaining a fluid flow. It is installed as a component of a pump assembly in residential and light commercial boilers, air handlers, or chilled-water loops stable distribution of heat throughout the circuit.
