Description
The Johnson Controls DMPR-RS311 Fusible Link is a small safety device designed mainly for HVAC applications. This fusible link is supposed to melt at a certain temperature, it’s 165°F in this case. With a fire damper model and an HVAC system, it acts as a safety link; in case of severe heat above 165°F, the link breaks, disconnecting the damper and the actuator. This allows it to do so automatically, which may help to avoid t smoke into the HVAC ducts.
