The Aaon P83890 is an 8-inch diameter crankcase heater that is used to stop the formation of dangerous acids and sludge within the oil pan of the refrigeration compressor in HVAC systems. This heater works at 240V power consumption of 90W to ensure the oil temperature is well regulated to avoid early wear on the compressor. As the heated oil keeps the oil warm it betterly lowers the chances of formation of acids and sludges that would negatively affect the efficiency and expected longevity of a compressor.
