Description
The Armstrong Furnace R46827-001 Furnace Ignitor is an electrical combustion component used in HVAC systems to ignite a gas-fired furnace. Its main operation is to produce the high temperature that is required to start the gas-air mixture when the system requires heat. The ignitor operates by heating a certain element to a desired temperature when a control signal is obtained instead of standing pilot. The process of mounting the ignitor is to attach the heater to the burner assembly and to the control circuits of the furnace.
