Description
The Armstrong Furnace R43127-001 Flame Sensor is a safety component integrated into gas and residential heating units in HVAC systems. It operates by detecting presence through a conductive signal generated when the burner fire contacts the sensor rod, allowing the control board to confirm ignition. It is mounted directly inside the burner assembly and connected to the circuit via a single-wire terminal for continuous monitoring. In operation, it ensures flame verification, supports preventing unburned gas flow, and supports stable and safe heating performance by maintaining proper combustion control during each heating cycle.
