Description
The Dwyer Instruments DA-31-2-1 1/8/15 A popular pressure switch found in many HVAC systems is the Openrisemerc Switch. This senses pressure variations between 1/8 and 15 psig using a brass Bourdon tube. An internal mercury switch is activated by the Bourdon tube deflecting when the pressure exceeds a predetermined setpoint. After that, this switch activates or closes an electrical circuit, starting the HVAC system’s pre-programmed activities. The DA-31-2-1, which is commonly found in furnaces, boilers, and air handling units, is essential to preserving system performance. That protects against potential equipment damage brought on by excessive pressure buildup or insufficient pressure for safe operation by controlling pressure levels. Also, the switch’s ability to trigger alarms, dampers, or fans in response to pressure variations.
