Description
The Aaon R78240 Flame Rod Wire functions as a essential ignition system component in gas-fired HVAC systems which Aaon produces because of its unique yellow color. The specialized wire functions as a sensor by detecting flames inside combustion chambers. The igniter sparks from the system activation to ignite the gas during heat demands. The flame rod located near the burner detects flame presence by ionization. The ionization process generates a small current that communicates to the control board about ignition status before the system proceeds with safe operation.
