Description
The York S1-025-45294-000 Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) is used in HVAC systems that use R410A refrigerant as part of the system. This valve controls refrigerant flow to the coil so that cooling is optimized at the highest efficiency. It has a 3/8″ inlet and a 5/8″ outlet and has ODF connections for easy installation and tight seal. The TXV operates in a manner that it varies the amount of coolant that is allowed to enter the evaporator based on the temperature changes to maintain the correct superheat level thus eliminating instances of the evaporator coil freezing up. This adjustment enhances the system performance, thus enhancing the general cooling power and effectiveness as well as energy conservation.
