The ClimateMaster S69173500 Reversing Valve with Coil is an essential part of heat pump HVAC systems. It is a reversing valve with a size of 3/4” x 1/2” and operated by 24V where the flow of the refrigerant is controlled to make the heat pump change between cooling and heating. During the heating mode, it circulates the hot refrigerant to the indoor coil while in the cool mode, it sends the hot refrigerant outside. one advantage of using this reversing valve are efficiency is increased because the refrigerant flow is optimized for each mode.
