The Trane SEN1279 Outdoor Static Pressure Sensor is a special protector in your Trane HVAC system, most of which is about 10.5 inches long. Rather than a device that controls temperature as most thermostats do, this measures static pressure which is critical to airflow. Made of high-quality stainless steel to enable it to work in extreme weather conditions, this measures the external air pressure of your building. With the help of the sensor, your Trane system can constantly control the outdoor static pressure and thereby guarantee proper air circulation and comfortable temperatures all year round. This Sensor is mostly mounted in air handling units or other outdoor equipment of HVAC systems.
