Description
The Trane THT0631 is a critical safety component in many Trane HVAC systems. It is a built-in failsafe that stops the system from overheating and damaging equipment by shutting the system off immediately when the temperature reaches a predetermined safety level of 140°F. This automated limit switch has a sensor built into it to continuously monitor the temperature. If the temperature rises above 140°F, the switch automatically opens a circuit that stops the unit. When the temperature drops down to around 115°F the system can work again with a tolerance of +/- 15°F. This is when the switch will automatically reset.
