The Carrier EA02SC427 is a Thermal Expansion Valve for Carrier HVAC systems that use R-22 refrigerant. This bi-metal actuated valve is an essential component in the management of refrigerant circulation in your system. The TXV regulates the amount of the refrigerant according to the sensed temperature of the evaporator coil so that the cooling efficiency is as effective as possible. It is designed for an 8-ton capacity which will allow the machine to handle larger capacity systems. Its sweat or braze connections enable secure installation and it measures 4” x 3.75” x 5” thus compatible with different Carrier equipment.
