The Trane VAL4331 Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) is an essentialcomponent of your Trane air conditioning system A micro-processor-controlled smart valve that adjusts refrigerant flow by sensing temperature optimizing the system for moderate cooling load residential or light commercial applications. the TXV modulates the amount of refrigerant that it admits to the evaporator coil with respect to its temperature. This way guarantees the coil to soak heat effectively without sticking allowing your system to function without any hitches. The valve itself is 4 ¾” in length and has sweat terminals so installation is not complicated. It is made of stainless steel material and it can be used with R-22 refrigerant, yet works well under up to 500 PSI pressure
