Description
The Johnson Controls F-1000-88 Pipe Dope Stick is a stick-form pipe thread sealant used in Johnson Controls pneumatic systems. It forms a barrier-free of air, which might compromise the performance and efficiency of the system at the threaded pipe connections. This gray or off-white sealant is in stick form to make it easier to apply on the surface of the material. Just paint a thin layer on the male threads of the pipe fitting, and it’s ready for use. Unlike Teflon tape, which tends to wear out and thus develop leaks, this pipe dope will be a more suitable option for Johnson Controls equipment. This pipe dope is specifically recommended for use where air pressure must be consistent, and this can be seen in pneumatic controls and actuators in HVAC systems.
