Description
The KMC Controls MCP-3631-3001 Pneumatic Rotary Actuator which transforms the compressed air pressure into rotational force to control valves and dampers within HVAC systems. It runs at a pressure between 5-10 PSI and relies on the variation in air pressure to move a 3/8″ square shaft in a provided arc of rotation. It is often used in building automation systems to adjust air flow in HVAC duct work or water flow in hydronic heating and cooling systems. It is mounted to dampers or valve assemblies, and react to signals sent by pneumatic controllers to control positioning in response to temperature, pressure, or other conditions.
