Ranco O18-100 Ice Bank Control is used in HVAC systems control designed to regulate ice formation. With a 76″ capillary tube, it is accurate in sensing the temperature of the ice bank. It is used to control an SPST switch, cycling the refrigeration system on and off to keep the ice level at the desired level. This control has the benefit of optimizing the performance of the refrigeration system and reducing energy consumption and even extending the life of the equipment. It precisely controls for ice buildup so that it can provide a constant supply of chilled water or ice losing as less energy as possible.
