Description
The KMC Controls STE 1402 8″ duct rigid temperature sensor is used for HVAC systems. Its resistance changes predictably with temperature, so it uses a 10K Type-3 thermistor. The HVAC system controller measures the resistance change to determine the air temperature inside the duct. The rigid design of the sensor makes it easy to insert and place in the ductwork and stable. This is commonly used to monitor supply or return air temperatures in air handlers, rooftop units and other ducted HVAC equipment.
