Description
The KMC Controls STE 1451 Outdoor air temperature sensor is used in HVAC systems to monitor outside temperature. The thermistor is a Type-3, 10K Ohm thermistor whose resistance changes with temperature fluctuations. The change in resistance is then read by the HVAC control system as a temperature reading. This sensor is essential for determining HVAC equipment operations such as chillers, air handlers and rooftop units, heating and cooling them to match actual outdoor conditions. Improved energy efficiency, accurate temperature control and improved occupant comfort are experienced when the system can respond to actual day weather changes
