It takes heat from the indoor air and evaporates it to the refrigerant that circulates in the system to therefore cool the home. When warm air from your home is directed over the fins, the refrigerant which is enclosed in the tubes takes heat from the air. This heat transfer process cools the air the air is then circulated back into the home. It is particularly designed to be used with air conditioning systems.
