Description
The Caleffi 551054A Discal Air Separator is used to vent air and micro-bubbles in circulating fluid to provide efficient operation in hydronic HVAC systems. It was designed with a 2″ sweat connection, a brass body, and an internal coalescing element, and can operate in a temperature range of 32°F to 250°F with a maximum working pressure of 150 psi and uses a float-operated vent to automatically release the collected air. It is installed in closed-loop heating or cooling systems, along horizontal piping, and is integrated with boilers and pumps. Its application aids corrosion, removes it, and enhances the efficiency.
