Description
The Carrier 331709-769 thermostatic expansion valve is used in systems employing R22 refrigerant that has an air conditioning function with an operating cooling tonnage of 5 tons. A TXV is an essential component in controlling the amount of refrigerant that enters the evaporator coil of an AC system. They use a bi-metal element which changes its size with the change in temperature. With the decrease of the evaporator coil temperature, the TXV opens up to admit more refrigerant, thus optimising heat absorption.
