Description
The Carrier HH680368 is a Limit Switch, a safety device used in Carrier HVAC systems, most often in furnaces. This essentialswitch protects the furnace from getting too hot and this switch has an unusual shape. The switch with a spring-loaded mechanism inside it. When the furnace temperature goes high, a thermostat switch which has a predetermined limit of 200°F opens up and breaks the circuit and stops the power supply to the burner. The Carrier HVAC system needs to be protected from possible damage resulting from high temperatures by having the furnace turn off automatically.
