The Emerson Flow Control (Alco) 047541 5/8 inch ODF N/C Solenoid Valve Model 200RB VLC is an electromechanical type of valve that regulates flow of the refrigerant in H VAC systems. As a Normally Closed (N/C) valve, it is used to be closed under de-energized state which means that no fluid is passing through. When an electrical current is passed on the solenoid coil it produce a magnetic field which in turn shift a plunger or valve core and thereby opens the valve to allow refrigerant flow. The 5/8” ODF specifies the size and kind of pipe that is joiner which is well common in refrigeration and air conditioning business.
