The Miscellaneous Product WD-2 Water Detector W/O Sensor Tape monitors for excessive water accumulation and signals protective equipment shutoff. Installed in secondary drain pans, equipment closets, or mechanical spaces in HVAC systems, the sensor module features Single Pole Double Throw relay contacts that connect to external alarm systems or main control boards. Upon detecting liquid moisture across its sensing contacts, the internal switch flips state to interrupt unit operation or trigger remote warnings. Detecting early moisture accumulation prevents cabinet overflow, protects surrounding built-in structures from water damage, and supports automatic water flood prevention during active cooling operations.
