The Armstrong Furnace AEHBCC05CSA-1 5kW Heat Strip Kit is an electrical resistance heating system that is meant to improve HVAC systems, especially heat pumps. This single phase unit has a power rating of 5kW and an operating voltage of 208-230 V, it is used to supplement heat during extremely low outdoor temperatures to maintain comfort indoors. It accomplishes this through resistance heating of the electrical current which leads to heat that is circulated through the fan forced air heating system of the HVAC system.
