Description
The Lochinvar & A.O. Smith 100110052 Water Heater Element converts electrical energy into heat by passing current through a resistive coil submerged in the water tank raising the water temperature to the set point. The element operates at 1500 watts on a 120-volt supply making it suited for low-demand applications. Positioned in the lower section of the tank in residential water heaters, storage-type systems & hydronic heating setups the element integrates into HVAC systems. It is used for domestic hot water production as part of a combined mechanical system. The 6.5-inch immersion length ensures adequate heat transfer across the water column for consistent output.
