The Amana-Goodman 0152G00002S Fan Grille Guard is a safety component that keeps the fan blades and motor of an HVAC system safe. In the case of the grille guard, it is installed over the fan inlet and forms a barrier for the incoming foreign object to get into the fan compartment. It protects the fan blades from damage done to them by the kind of debris that could get caught in the blades themselves, such as leaves, twigs, insects, or other small objects.
