Description
The Heatcraft Refrigeration 25317801S Motor is a workhorse designed to efficiently circulate air within residential refrigerators and freezers. Operating on standard household current (120 volts), this motor boasts a horsepower rating of 1/15 HP, providing enough power to move air consistently without consuming excessive energy. It spins at a constant speed of 1625 revolutions per minute (RPM), ensuring reliable airflow circulation within the appliance. This motor finds primary use as an evaporator motor within refrigerators and freezers. The evaporator is the component responsible for absorbing heat from the interior of the appliance. The 25317801S motor drives a fan blade, which pulls air across the evaporator coils. As the air absorbs heat from the coils, it cools down. This cool air is then circulated throughout the refrigerator or freezer cavity, maintaining the desired low temperature for food storage. Replacing a worn-out 25317801S motor can significantly improve the performance of your refrigerator or freezer. A properly functioning motor ensures efficient air circulation at a constant speed. This translates to improved temperature control within the appliance, keeping your food fresh and safe. The weight of 4.67 lbs makes it manageable for handling and installation within compatible refrigerators and freezers. Be sure to consult your specific appliance’s manual for compatibility information before ordering.
