Carrier APA029KAC is a scroll compressor used for commercial air conditioning applications. While piston compressors apply pistons for compression, scroll compressors are comprised of two helical spirals that constantly suck, compress and discharge refrigerant. This design provides better and more silent movement and also higher productivity. This model cools an area of up to 29,000 BTU, making it ideal for mid-sized commercial use. It uses 208-230 Volt, 1-phase power, and has hermetic construction where the motor and the compressor are enclosed in one compartment that is pre-lubricated with polyester oil.
