The Lennox 17L62 is a high-capacity heat exchanger that is a crucial component of Lennox HVAC equipment commonly furnaces. Made from stainless steel to prevent corrosion and to enhance the durability it has a crucial function in the heating process. Some of heat produced by combustion is used in the heat exchanger for heating the air stream. Hot exhaust gases pass through one bundle of tubes in the exchanger while cooled air pass through the other one of the bundles. The heat from the exhaust gases radiates through the metal walls, warming the surrounding air without directly mixing the two mediums
