Description
The 061673 Emerson Flow Control (Alco) An essential part of refrigeration and air conditioning systems is the Exp Valve Head Assembly. It performs the duties of a thermostatic expansion valve (TXV) head, controlling the flow of refrigerant in response to system temperature. The TXV head detects the temperature of the refrigerant exiting the evaporator coil. The valve widens to let more refrigerant flow and further cool the evaporator if the temperature rises too high. On the other hand, the valve limits the flow when the temperature drops too low, preventing the evaporator from overcooling and possibly freezing. This accurate regulation of refrigerant flow maximizes system performance and guards against over- or undercooling damage.
