The Rheem-Ruud 51-104361-17 is a Replacement Part for a variety of forced-air heating and cooling systems It has a 1 HP variable speed blower motor which uses air drawn in and pushes it through the ductwork of the HVAC system. This flexibility in speed allows the motor to vary depending on the demand of individual buildings. For example, on warm days, it may run at lower rates thus saving energy and reducing noise level. The opposite happens when there are extreme weather conditions; then the same device increases its pace so that more treated air flows out to ensure certain temperatures are maintained.
