The Resideo TAXV-080 Vertical Thermal Expansion Tank is designed for use in hydronic heating systems to provide for expansion and contraction of the systems volume. The tank has an ASME approval, is constructed from steel, is capable of withstanding temperatures of up to 240°F and has a maximum acceptance volume of 44. 4 gallons. It has a 1/2” NPT male connector which makes it easy to retrofit into existing systems. The diaphragm is made of butyl/EPDM that gives it a long lasting and reliable service. The TAXV-080 is a visually appealing and practical device and has a rather bright red color. This expansion tank helps in increasing the durability of HVAC equipment, controlling pressure fluctuations and enhancing the overall efficiency of the system through proper control of thermal expansion.
