Description
The Carrier 46010381 is a limit switch which is a safety device in most heating and cooling equipment. Limit switches operate based on an electrical circuit being opened or closed as a component to which it is connected moves. In HVAC systems, limit switches are used to control some of the essential parts to assures safety. A limit switch may cut off the operation of a furnace in case the rate of airflow increases and causes overheating.
