Description
The Broan-NuTone RDM2 Radiation Damper Flex/DC Series restricts the spread of heat and flames through ventilation openings by closing automatically when high-temperature conditions are detected. It operates using a heat-sensitive fusible link that releases at a set temperature, allowing a fire-resistant fabric barrier to deploy across the airflow path. In HVAC systems, it is mounted with exhaust fans in ceiling assemblies to maintain compartment separation during abnormal heat exposure. Its structure allows integration with compatible fan units, providing automatic closure of the duct opening when initiated by elevated thermal conditions.
