The Rheem-Ruud SP20867B Combination Gas Control Replacement Kit is one of the most essentialelements in your natural gas (NG) water heater. It is primarily responsible for controlling the temperatures of the system to ensure its working efficiency and safety. This valve regulates the flow rate of gas through different channels based on temperature levels within a certain period (control function). Therefore, after cold water enters this tank, an automatic detection temperature drop occurs and allows the opening of this valve by gas control.
