Description
The Rheem-Ruud 47-101528-01 is a safety component of many HVAC systems. This high pressure limit switch serves to safeguard your equipment against any kind of harm which may be inflicted by pressure build up. It self resets once the pressure is now safe to be at that level from the top. This component is responsible for management of the pressure within the HVAC system. At the pressure required of 440°F, the switch is tripped, thus halting the functioning of the system, which would be detrimental for one’s health. When pressure reaches a safe level, normally, at 270°F, the switch turns on to allow the system to get back to the normal state. This device is widely applied in HVAC equipment including room air conditioners, heat pumps, and furnaces.
