The Belimo WGVL+AVKB24-MFT Wgvl W/Fail Safe 24V 450Lb Mft is a linear actuator used in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems. It is specifically made to function with Belimo’s AVK, EV, and RV series actuators and Warren globe valves.As a fail-safe mechanism, the actuator features a spring that, in the case of a power outage, immediately closes the valve to which it is connected. Ensuring the automatic closure of vital systems, such as fire dampers, during emergencies is imperative for safety reasons.Utilizing a 24-volt DC electrical signal, the Belimo WGVL+AVKB24-MFT generates mechanical motion. The actuator opens the valve by extending its piston rod when it is powered. On the other hand, in the case of a power outage or de-energized, the spring forces the the valve will close when the piston rod retracts.
