Description
The Rheem-Ruud 47-101529-05 Low Pressure Switch is a safety device which is meant to protect HVAC equipment from working under extremely low pressures of the refrigerant. It is an auto reset type device and comes with 5/16’’ sweat connection for fitting conveniently. This switch works on detecting pressure of refrigerant inside the system in case of application of hot gas. When the pressure is below a certain value point set at 90PSIG, the switch opens and stops the operation of the mechanical system and saves it from any further damage if any. When the pressure goes up and reaches the danger mark of 135 PSIG, the switch is reset hence allowing the system to go back to its normal operation.
