Description
The Emerson Flow Control (Alco) 049174 Suction Line Filter Drier is an essential part of HVAC systems that is used to filter and remove the moisture from refrigerants before they reach the compressors. This filter drier measures 1-1/8” and is placed in the suction line, right after the evaporator and before the compressor. Its main purpose is to eliminate moisture, acid and other deposits that may form in the refrigerant system, especially after a compressor burnout. This assists reduce the probabilities of compressor damage and proper functioning of the HVAC system.
