Emerson Flow Control (Alco) 047501 3/8” Normally Closed Solenoid Valve without Coil 1.27Ton R22 is an essential element of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment. This valve will act to regulate the refrigerant, in this instance, R22 flowing through the system. It works on the electromagnetic operation Concept. When an electrical current is passed through the coil the solenoid inside the valve is activated. This energization displaces the spring force that keeps the valve closed and permits the refrigerant to pass through the valve’s opening. Once the current stops flowing the spring force repositions the valve to its normally closed position shutting down the flow of the refrigerant.
