Description
The Amana-Goodman 0130M00053 Outdoor Coil Temperature Sensor is a temperature monitoring component designed to measure thermal conditions at the outdoor coil of cooling equipment. The element is a thermistor which senses the temperature of the coil and varies electrical resistance as a result and transmits the temperature signal down the sensor lead to the system control circuit in HVAC systems. This signal is interpreted by the control board to control the operation of the compressor and defrost or protective control. It is placed on the outside of the coil in the condenser section and offers continuous temperature feedback.
