Description
The Armstrong International 125A6 is a float and thermostatic steam trap, a type of valve prevalent in hydronic heating systems. Having a diameter of 1.5 inches, it is capable of withstanding pressures ranging up to 125 pounds per square inch. The trap prevents steam from escaping while draining condensate from the system. To accomplish this, it merges a bimetallic strip with a float mechanism. As condensate accumulates up in the trap, the float rises, ultimately opening a valve that allows the condensate out. Despite the fact that the trap isn’t full with condensate, the bimetallic strip responds to changes in temperature to help prevent steam from escaping. Heat exchangers, unit heaters, and steam boilers are significant applications for the Armstrong 125A6.
