Description
The Armstrong International C1422-1 is a thermostatic air vent that automatically removes air and non-condensable gases from steam systems, increasing efficiency and reducing corrosion. It has an easy-to-install 1/2-inch NPT threaded connection for pipe installation, and throughout the operating pressure range, a balanced-pressure thermostatic element automatically vents air at a temperature slightly below steam. By doing this, air buildup in the system is avoided, which could hinder heat transfer and cause corrosion. The C1422-1 can be used with a variety of steam systems, such as vulcanizers, jacketed sterilizers, retorts, and jacketed kettles. Its long-lasting 304-L stainless steel construction ensures durability, and its straight-through or right-angle connection options allow for flexible installation.
